Unbrick MXQ-4k TV box RK3228A R329Q_V3.0

Problem

TV box does not start and does not display anything.

Cause

I my case i caused a brick trying to install Linux on my MXQ-4k.

Solution

You will need to connect to a computer and then write the firmware again.

Requirements:
  • Windows PC
  • Male USB cable at both ends
  • Paper clip
  • Toothpick
  • DriverAssitant, FactoryTools and Firmware, link here.

Download software, install DriverAssitant and open FactoryTool.

Click on firmware and load the previously downloaded firmware, then follow the instructions below:

  1. With the clip connect the points indicated in the photo.
  2. Press the button behind the AV input with the toothpick until you hear the click, keep it pressed.
  3. Connect the USB cable previously connected to the PC.

After the computer recognizes the device stop pressing the button inside AV input and remove the jumper.

Now click run button and wait for the process to finish, restart the device and now your tv box should work properly again.
